Gum disease is a major cause of tooth loss in adults over 35 years-old.
Gum disease causes progressive destruction of the gum and bone around your teeth. Early signs of gum disease include bleeding gums and bad breath.
We are able to provide periodontal treatment that will clean your teeth and gums to help control the bacteria that cause gum disease. As part of the treatment we will remove the tartar caused by bacteria from above the gum line by scaling your teeth. In some cases we may have to remove bacteria and tartar from under the gum by cleaning your teeth.
Periodontal treatment usually involves a number of appointments and it will depend on how severe your case is.
